With a surface of 2400 hectares, from Viareggio to Massaciuccoli Lake- the park it is a coastal unpolluted area rich of forests, pinewoods, lacustrine areas.
"Sterpaia" is the name of a farmhouse where you'll find brochures and informations about the Regional Park, buy biological products, like honey or pine nut kernel.
This park is an area of high naturalistic value, where the presence of the nearby cities seems to have totally disregarded the environment: fauna and flora are very rich, if you are lucky you'll see hawks, foxes, squirrels, loirs. But you can see a lot of rare plants: marsh orchids, carnivorous plants, ferns and pink hibiscus.
And if you want to remain for dinner try the delicious cuisine of Poldino, where you'll can taste the Tuscan Typical cuisine: game meat is the speciality of the restaurant.

By car: from North: motorway A11 from Florence or Fi-PI-Li. Exit in Pisa Nord-Est.
from South or North-West: motorway A12 and A11 for the last kilometre.
